Prof. Dr. med. Sebastian Siebenlist

Welcome to Sports Orthopedics
of the Klinikum rechts der Isar at the Technical University of Munich.
Our highly specialized sports orthopedics team offers individual treatments for sports injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Using modern, minimally invasive procedures such as arthroscopy, we successfully treat knee and shoulder injuries, joint wear and misalignments. Particularly complex cases, such as knee misalignments or shoulder arthrosis, are comprehensively cared for in our specialized department and followed up with in-house physiotherapy.
We also focus on patient-oriented research in order to be able to offer you the latest treatment approaches. Close cooperation with national and international research teams enables us to put modern approaches to biomechanics and artificial intelligence into practice.
If you have any questions, we look forward to your call or email.
Make an appointment with us. We look forward to seeing you!
Best regards
Prof. Dr. med. Sebastian Siebenlist, MHBA

Facilities and services
The Klinikum rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich is the first Bavarian and one of the few German university hospitals to have a certified quality management system since April 2011. As a hospital certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001, it must regularly prove that defined and controlled treatment and support processes are in place and that process quality and patient orientation are continuously improved.
The sports orthopedics section has an outpatient clinic in the Klinikum rechts der Isar with 23 beds on one ward and two operating units (clean air operating rooms). Modern physiotherapy and physical aftercare and rapid sports rehabilitation are guaranteed both in the clinic and in the outpatient area. In addition to the comprehensive treatment of recreational athletes, the sports orthopedics section has also long been caring for athletes from competitive and high-performance sports. Team doctors from the section also accompany FC Bayern Basketball, the German Judo Federation eV, among others.
