The physicaltherapy team of the sports orthopaedic department is specialised in the treatment and postoperative rehabilitation of orthopaedic patients with problems of active and passive movement of the musculoskeletal system. Their therapies include post-operative care of inpatients at the Rechts der Isar Hospital as well as outpatient physicaltherapy in which patients can be treated until the final stages of their rehabilitation.
The team of the aftercare unit includes certified therapists with further training, for example in the areas of classic massage therapy, manual lymphatic drainage, manual therapy (Maitland, Kaltenborn, Mulligan), sports physicaltherapy (classic, Kinesio taping) and Bobath rehabilitation for adults. Continuous education and advanced training of the therapists ensures up-to-date therapy as well as a well-organized and structurally established collaboration with the doctors and nursing staff.
